He is best known for his role of Dexter Morgan, in Dexter, where he plays a serial killer and a blood-spatter analyst. Also his role as David Fischer, in the HBO drama series Six Feet Under was a critical and commercial success. In 2010, Michael won a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role in Dexter.
