After several years of streaming on twitch using various Facerig avatars due to shyness, on 17 July 2020, Nyanners revealed her custom virtual avatar. On 21 July, she posted her character bio, making the official name Nyatasha Nyanners. This was selected based on a series of polls on Nyanners’ discord. Nyanners reached 200k followers by Oct 10, 2020.
